We have recently returned from a week at the Annecy apartment apartment. We have been to many apartments in Europe and this has to be rated as the best to date. The location could not be beaten. We choose to self cater all the time, and every shop imaginable was right on the doorstep: patisserie, delicatessen, butchers, fishmonger, bread shops, etc. The fantastic street market is held on Friday, Sunday, and Tuesday morning, and is just two minutes around the corner. For other groceries there are two Monoprix close by.
The apartment was so homely and had everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The view of the little river, chateau, roofs of the old town, and mountains was simply wonderful. The apartment is very light and so quiet. We didn't hear a thing from anybody else all week.
We hired bikes and cycled round the lake which was glorious. Of course, we went on the lake and also had a couple of days out to Geneva and Aix les Bains, but were pleased to get back to Annecy on both occasions. Annecy is a very special place and this apartment is also very special.
